Are you longing for travel? To immerse yourself in different cultures, learn a new language or to be surrounded by the smell of pure foreign air?
You wish there was a way to pack your bags and just leave, but we all know that’s impossible with work or school or the simple fact that you’re broke. So instead, here you are dreaming about frolicking in sunny Spain and backpacking through Europe…
Enter The Body Shop’s Scents of The World; a beautiful set of fragrances that satisfy your thirst for travel and your olfactory needs. The collection consists of five fragrances, each representing an exotic location and capturing the smell of nature’s wonders. From the Amazon jungle, to Madagascar and India, you’re sure to feel like you’re that much closer to your dream destination.
When I discovered The Body Shop’s worldly scent collection last December, I wondered why I hadn’t heard of these fragrances before. Japanese Cherry Blossom was my favourite. It was the perfect combination of a sweet fruity scent and romantic florals. My winter blues disappeared and my mood was instantly elevated when I wore it. It was definitely love at first sniff with this one.
Not even halfway through the first bottle, I found myself at The Body Shop again last week, purchasing my second fragrance from the collection. Amazonian Wild Lily had the aquatic, white floral scent I was searching for. Every time I spray a spritz of this fragrance, I feel as though I’m walking through a fresh field of flowers on a spring morning. I simply can’t get enough of it!
However, the great smell of the two fragrances is not the only reason why I love them. The Body Shop is an exceptional brand that uses social and environmental campaigns to promote its business and raise awareness about global issues. The company is especially known for its fair trade products, made of natural ingredients that aren’t tested on animals. Support the initiatives and shop guilt-free!
Oh! Did I mention each bottle only costs $22? Not bad compared to the price of airfare. I got the Amazonian Wild Lily for 50% off the original price! Get it before it’s gone!
And of course it’s not a review until I list the cons of the product:
The only bad thing I have to say about these perfumes is that they don’t have amazing staying power…but I guess that’s something to expect from almost any fragrance. I’d say the perfume lasts about 3 hours and then dissolves into a faint scent that lingers around your body (but only you would be able to tell).
In any case, for me, the actual smell of the product outweighs the longevity of the scent because three hours is good enough. I think I may have just convinced myself to buy a third bottle from the collection after writing this review. I know I’ll be getting the Indian Night Jasmine scent next!
Have I persuaded you to want to get a sample? If so, which one do you want to smell?
