Despite my love for experimenting with makeup, there are still certain beauty products that I can never replace. There aren’t that many on my list, but they have changed my beauty routine significantly, and for that, they deserve a little attention. Here are the beauty products I swear by:

Maybelline Colossal Mascara

I’ve had this since the 7th grade, and nearly 7 years later, I’m still sticking to the same complementary yellow and purple tube of mascara. I’ve tried all sorts of other mascaras from a multitude of brands, but I can never have the same volume and plump as this one. i have very thin, short lashes and this is the only mascara that gives great length as well.

Kiss My Face Peaches & Crème Moisturizer

I cannot tell you how upset I was/am when I learned that they no longer make this in the original 118 ml tube. When it comes to face creams, I am very hesitant to try new products that can potentially harm my sensitive skin. I feel at ease using something more natural and Kiss My Face provides just that. This non-greasy, naturally effective, cruelty-free moisturizer is perfect all-year round.

Annabelle Kohl Liner

My mom and aunts never forget to pick up a few of these when they’re on sale (even though they’re already well-priced; usually less than $5). It’s a family favourite because it glides so effortlessly and can very easily create a smoky look or a clean line. I’m not even surprised that Annabelle eyeliners are Canada’s bestselling liners.

MAC Studio Finish SPF 35 Concealer

MAC-Concealer_Final

I’m all for learning to love the skin you’re in, but if it makes you more confident to want to hide a birthmark, freckles and/or stubborn blemishes, then don’t let the world stop you. MAC’s Studio Finish Concealer provides excellent coverage that won’t run down throughout the day. Its SPF 35 is also great for those who are using brightening/lightening spot treatments and need strong sun protection. No one will ever know you’ve covered something up.
